Hello English 1 students!

Please have your homework out so that I can stamp it!

Here is today's agenda:


1. Warm up: in the "My Poetry" section of your notebooks, use SENSORY DETAILS to describe to me your favorite kind of fruit.

2. Four Corners Imagery

Before we begin, please turn to your "Poetry Notes" section and make a chart like the one on my paper.


In your groups, you will go around to each corner of the room and read the poem. You need to pick TWO images (remember, the image needs to appeal to one of your FIVE senses) from each poem and fill out the chart except for the column "How you pictured it."  MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR YOUR DRAWINGS


Once everyone has rotated around to each of the poems, we will return to our seats. Now, you will complete the "How you pictured it" part of the chart. Make your drawings thoughtful, show me what you pictured when you came across that image from the poem.


HW: If you do not finish the chart, finish it for homework. It will be DUE THURSDAY.
