Hello English 1 students!

I am sorry I could not be here today....please use your tablets AS INSTRUCTED I would hate to take away tablet privileges.

Your job:

-Read Romeo and Juliet Act 4  Scenes 2-3 in your textbook. YOU DO NOT NEED YOUR TABLETS OUT UNTIL YOU ARE DONE READING

-Once you are done reading, INDEPENDENTLY respond to the following questions (just like you did for Tuesday's homework).

-You should have plenty of time to complete your assignments for today.

Questions-respond in complete sentences!

1. Why do you think Juliet trusts the Friar? Should she?
2. How long will Juliet be affected by the potion?
3. Why is Juliet reluctant to drink the sleeping potion? Is drinking the potion foolish or brave?
4. Why is Juliet afraid of the family vault? (List three fears)
5. What does Capulet reveal to his daughter about the wedding plans in Scene 2?
6. What is the family doing in Scene 3? Why is this an example of dramatic irony? (Think about what Juliet is doing during this time...)
